Amber Lenses · Built for Screens

Built for the light indoors,
designed for the life you live.

Every pair of Auresta glasses starts with one question: what does your eye actually need after nine hours of screens? The answer is a warm amber tint that absorbs blue light rather than reflecting a little of it, and a frame that disappears on your face after the first five minutes.

A nine-layer anti-reflective coating cuts the glare, and the same lens carries full UV400 protection for when you step outside.

UV400 Protection
Blocks up to 99% of UVA and UVB rays up to 400 nm — rated for all-day outdoor wear.
Nine-Layer Anti-Glare Lens
A nine-layer optical coating cuts the glare bouncing off your screen and off the lights behind you.
Lightweight Acetate Frame
Precision-cut acetate — feather-light on the bridge, comfortable through a full day of wear.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Auresta amber-lens blue light glasses — how they filter blue light, all-day comfort, shipping and returns.

Do Auresta blue light glasses actually work?

Depends what you want them to do, and we would rather tell you than sell you. The 2023 Cochrane review of 17 randomised trials found blue-light-filtering lenses probably make no difference to eye strain from screens, and the College of Optometrists says the same. What an amber lens does do, physically, is absorb blue light in the 400–500 nm band rather than reflect a little of it like a clear lens — which raises contrast, cuts glare, and takes the harsh edge off a bright monitor. That is what you will feel.

Are amber lenses better than clear ones?

For filtering blue light, yes, and it is not close. A clear lens with a coating reflects a modest share of the blue band. An amber lens absorbs it — the lens looks amber precisely because the blue is not getting through. Even the optometrists who dismiss clear blue-light lenses accept that a genuine tint does something. The cost is a warm cast to what you see.

Will the amber lenses change how I see colours?

Yes, a little — whites lean golden and blues are muted, and that shift is exactly what the filtering looks like. Most people stop noticing within a few minutes. If you do colour-critical work, photo editing or grading, take them off for it.

Are these good for gaming and long screen sessions?

That is what they are built for. The amber tint and the nine-layer anti-reflective coating cut the glare bouncing off your monitor and the lights behind it, and the 19 g acetate frame has slim straight arms that sit under a headset instead of fighting it. What we will not claim is that they improve your aim or cure a 2am headache.

Can blue light glasses help me sleep better?

Possibly, and this is the strongest evidence in the category — but it is still thin, so here is the honest version. Blue light in the evening delays melatonin, and amber lenses are the tint with actual trials behind them (Burkhart & Phelps, 2009 found better sleep quality in people who wore them before bed). Cochrane, however, calls the overall sleep evidence indeterminate. Wear them for the two or three hours before bed and judge for yourself.

Do they protect my eyes outdoors too?

Yes — every pair includes full UV400 protection, blocking up to 99% of UVA and UVB rays. The same glasses work on bright days outside as well as in front of a screen.

How much is shipping and how fast is delivery?

Shipping is free on every order, with delivery in 2–4 business days.

What is your returns and adaptation policy?

You have 30 days to return any unused pair, no questions asked. Every order also comes with a 30-day risk-free trial: if your eyes do not adapt to the amber lenses, we refund you in full.

What are the frames made of?

Premium acetate — the same durable, lightweight material used by luxury eyewear houses — at an honest price, without the designer markup.
